Hi everyone.

Apologies for the trouble with the Mac version of our app.

It has to do with the signature of the App not matching properly. Until we get that straightened out with Apple (officially, that is) here is what you can do.

First, download the .dmg as per normal

HERE is the download link for the Mac version of Ysobel.AI

When you click on the app, you will probably see

Here is how you can fix it:

Open a shell and run the following command:

xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Ysobel-AI.app

And try to launch the app again

We had a hardware failure on our server earlier this week. During the recovery process, we thought we successfully re-deployed our license server to the cloud, but didn’t realize that the deployment environments were not the same.

Thus we’re troubleshooting a long stream of unexpected failures after another.

The email can be blank.

When Ysobel.AI is ready for download/beta, you’ll be sent an email with the download link. Please make sure to add “info-announce@ysobel.ai” to your email client as being a recognized address.

We will send very short you emails notifying you of important version updates and/or critical bug fixes. We will not resell or otherwise leak your email address to anyone else. We promise.

You can always remove yourself from our info-announce system by sending an email with the subject “unsubscribe” to the same address. You will NOT receive any emails (including acknowledgements that your unsubscribe was accepted)

So, it’d be unrealistic for me to think the Ysobel.AI release would happen last week as planned.

As soon as I returned home, I realized that a file server developed faults in two out of eight disks.. Thank God for zfs/raid-03

I then ordered a bunch of disks to replace. They’ll arrive soon. In the mean time, I am operating without file system backup at my main dev site.

Sigh. When it rains … it pours stink bombs all over.

Hi everyone. It is May 1 2025, and the download links are STILL not live yet. Sincere apologies. The app however is working well enough for me to have produced this short (~6min) intro video.

Ysobel.AI (the app) is not super complicated to use. If you know how to use an internet browser and send/receive email, you have about 99% of basic know-how so that you can download, set up your own license, and point her at your documents folder so that she can assist you.

The most complicated bit is the trial license — all that is baked into the app. All you need to request a trial license is to have a valid email address. (Only one license per email, sorry!)

It is a monumental task, bringing a (small, fledgling) company up from scratch. Everything is against you.

Your partners abandon you. One or two may even pretend to be your friend only to turn out to be a psychotic maniac!

The only thing you can do in this case, is to take a deep breath (check!), go exercise (ditto!), take care of sundry chores!*, you know, the usual SSS (Don’t make me spell it out! Read some books!) and then once refreshed, tackle the issues, one by one

*1. In some parts of the USA, “watching grass grow” is a legitimate spectator sport! You have no idea! It’s not uncommon for grass (and weeds!) to shoot up an inch or more almost overnight!
